KUALA LUMPUR: Tropicana Corporation Bhd's retail arm Tropicana Gardens Mall has partnered with Thailand's embassy and Department of International Trade Promotion to host Malaysia's largest Thai festival "ThinkThailand".

Running until June 6, the event offers shoppers exciting activities such as Thai cooking and martial arts demonstrations, cultural performances and bazaar.

Tropicana Gardens Mall and group assets management managing director Andrew Ashvin said the festival was leveraging revitalized retail interest.

"Malaysians are ready to shop, dine out and travel again, and Tropicana Gardens Mall aims to cater to this demand and provide more exciting experiences with Think Thailand.

"It also aligns with evolving consumer preferences for experiential engagement in retail, following shifts to digital and online platforms during the lockdown," he said in a statement yesterday.

Ashvin said the festival featured more than 50 Thai exporters at over 50 booths.

Visitors can enjoy an array of Thai delicacies and cuisine, including fare from Thai select restaurants, as well as the Thailand International Halal Showcase.

Thai products will also be showcased, including new and specially priced goods, supporting both Malaysian importers and Thai exporters.

Brands at Think Thailand include Jonesalid, ChaTraMue, J-Deli, HappiLuv, Hommern and more, featuring a diverse range of products.

Thai ambassador Chainarong Keratiyut-wong said Think Thailand catered for renewed interest in travel as international borders reopen.
