The Malaysian Reserve - Tropicana Corp Bhd

Tropicana Corp Bhd's net profit surged 134% year-on-year (YoY) to RM32.52 million, or earnings per share (EPS) of 2.27 sen for the first-quarter ended March 31, 2017, from RM15.17 million or EPS of 1.05 sen in the corresponding period a year ago. In an exchange filing last Friday, the real estate developer's revenue increased 33% YoY to RM381.87 million, mainlv contributed by the group's core property development operations which saw stronger sales and advanced progress of construction works on-site.
