Tropicana Golf & Country Resort (“TGCR”), a subsidiary of Tropicana, spread festive cheer with the hosting of 100 children from three orphanages in Klang Valley during the month of Ramadhan, along with the donation of more than 21 dry goods and essentials.

The children, from Pertubuhan Kebajikan Al Mahabbah, Pusat Jagaan Haneen Firdous, and Pusat Jagaan Kasih Murni, were treated to the resort’s celebrated Santapan 29 Malam Iftar buffet, serving up more than 200 dishes at over 20 stalls with hospitality from the heart.

Speaking at the charity event, Tropicana’s Senior General Manager (TGCR & Project), Allan Wong shared more on the initiative, organised in line with the humanitarian mission of Tropicana Foundation, the developer’s charity arm.

“As Malaysia moves forward to a new normal, the month of Ramadhan gives us time to reflect and give thanks. With Tropicana Foundation’s focus on outreach and engagement with vulnerable groups in society towards Redefining the Art of Caring, we invited the homes to Tropicana Golf & Country Resort, where Tropicana’s journey began so many years ago. Here, the children can break their fast while experiencing the communal warmth of kampung-style dining at our clubhouse. Aside from sharing the flavours and hospitality of Santapan 29 Malam, we also support the homes’ daily needs in the coming month by donating more than 21 necessities such as rice, cooking oil, Milo, cookies, detergents, Dettol, Colgate, and more,” he said.

Tropicana Foundation, the charity arm of Tropicana Group will continue to organise various charity initiatives to engage with society and the underprivileged community. Since its inception in 2011, Tropicana Foundation has donated more than RM23 million via cash donations, food bank, wellness products, daily necessities, and collaborative sponsorships to various charitable causes.
