Stella McCartney’s latest collection boasts an impressive ready-to-wear line composed mostly of ethical materials. This collection is free from animal leather, feathers, fur and skins, instead showcasing eco-conscious alternatives such as forest-friendly viscose, organic cotton and silk, regenerative cotton, recycled nylon, recycled cashmere, recycled polyester and wool from traceable sources.

In an ode to the various stages of womanhood, nature, animals and Stella’s American heritage and personal style, this collection is a vibrant tribute. The colour palette includes black, white, camel, raspberry, grey, oat, caramel and faded khaki green. These tones beautifully juxtapose against floral pink, sky blue, grass and tangerine, adding a touch of vivacity.

Introducing a preppy twist, the collection showcases letterman jackets adorned with a fresh Stella ‘S’ varsity emblem. These jackets are crafted responsibly, featuring a regenerative wool base and sleeves made from Alter Mat, a luxurious vegan alternative to animal leather. 

The influence of casual American fashion resonates through the men’s shirting, seamlessly transitioning into elegant blue organic cotton poplin dresses. To create a contemporary look, sculpted blazers are effortlessly paired with skirts boasting double slits, adding an element of modernity.

Vegan accessories are seen in mirrored metallics alongside new Frayme mini bucket bag crafted from Mirum - a circular, plant-based and plastic-free alternative to animal leather. 

The Logo bag is revisited as a crescent mini hobo, while the iconic Falabella becomes a slouchy bucket style. Building on Winter 2023’s material innovations are new accessories in AppleSkin with a crocodile-hide look and texture as well as smooth Vegea or wine leather, made from apple and grape waste respectively.

As for footwear, the selection includes pointed pumps, mules and ankle boots, each with a distinct charm. The Ryder fluffy pump makes a comeback, now available in seasonal tones and as a graceful ballet flat. Meanwhile, the Falabella over-the-knee boot is handcrafted using sand woven vegan suede, blending sophistication with sustainability.
