Tropicana Donates RM100,000 To SRJK (C) Yeong Chang

Tropicana Foundation continues to enrich lives as it donated RM100,000 to SRJK(C) Yeong Chang school in Batu Pahat, Johor. The donations will be used for the renovation and installation of IT equipment for the school’s library as well as intelligent classrooms at the newly constructed Tan Lam Hui Information Block.

The new school block, which was completed last month at a cost of RM1 million, is a two-storey building housing a library, a canteen, and four classrooms furnished with IT equipment for computer classes. YBhg Tan Sri Dato’ Danny Tan, Group Executive Vice Chairman of Tropicana Corporation Berhad had previously donated RM100,000 to SRJK(C) Yeong Chang for this new building.

YBhg Tan Sri Dato’ Danny Tan Chee Sing said, “Tropicana has always believed in the importance of reaching out and ensuring that quality education is provided to everyone. We believe that this school with its current students and teachers will fully benefit as the contribution will go towards enhancing the school’s facilities. It is indeed rewarding to be able to help students increase their knowledge and enrich their educational experience, thus giving these young minds the opportunity to excel further.”

Gan Ching Piaw, Chairman of the Board of Governors of the school was thankful to the generous donation made and said the school was blessed to receive continuous support from Tropicana.
