About Tropicana Foundation

Over the last 40 years, Tan Sri Dato' Tan Chee Sing, the Founder and Group Executive Vice Chairman of Tropicana Corporation Berhad has been the key driver and backbone of Tropicana Foundation.

Through his anonymous contributions, Tropicana Foundation has achieved many milestones over the years. Aligned with the Company's expansion plan and ESG pillars, Dijaya Foundation was established in 2011 and subsequently rebranded to Tropicana Foundation.

The Tropicana Foundation is dedicated to improving the lives of the underprivileged community,  supporting social and environmental issues from health, wellness, education, recycling, sports initiatives to stakeholders' engagement. 

Today, reinvigorated with a new logo and dedicated team, Tropicana Foundation continues to reach out and support various segments across Malaysia.

The founding charter of Tropicana Foundation states that its resources should be used "for health, educational, social and charitable purposes" and it is in that spirit that the Foundation continues to grow and prosper. 


A Gift of Hope & Joy 

Since its inception, Tropicana Foundation has contributed over RM26 million in either cash and other contributions such as dry goods donation, pet supplies, health supplements circulation, hospital equipment, food packs and fresh vegetables distributions for over 100 underprivileged homes, NGOs and charity associations across Malaysia.


Defining Tropicana Foundation Logo

The Tropicana Foundation’s logo was created with one vision in mind - a symbol of hope and giving for the society.
The design was inspired by our long term commitment to support the needy as well as our aspiration to bring joy and peace to the underprivileged community.
The green leaves represent the layers of societies with whom we engage, while the heart shape symbolises our continuous support and care towards all stakeholders involved.

The employees of Tropicana are a close-knit family, and in caring for our workforce across Malaysia, Tropicana Foundation collaborated with the HR team to organise many beneficial initiatives. We are pleased to showcase our gratitude to everyone for their valuable contributions to the Company as we continue to commit our heartfelt dedication to our large, extended family.

We pride ourselves in our skilled and talented workforce at Tropicana, and we love rewarding ourselves occasionally with treats and coupons for movies or dinners. The foundation also provided care packages containing masks, hand sanitisers and personal cutlery sets in the recent pandemic to our front-liners nationwide. After all, we believe that self-care is an important aspect of the Art of Living.

External

Striving to help the the community for the greater good of all, the Tropicana Foundation has been working towards the goal of improving the lives of the underprivileged and address vital social and environmental issues in Malaysia. We have partnered with various charitable and governmental organisations  to reach out to numerous members of the community who need help. We could not have done it without the leadership and support from Tropicana Corporation Berhad and all its subsidiaries, so our heartfelt thanks go out to all who have made our foundation's efforts possible.

Environment

Environment

With more people becoming more aware of the need to recycle towards a greener future, Tropicana partnered with iCycle Management to establish community-based recycling programmes at its developments, namely Tropicana Aman, Tropicana Gardens, Tropicana Avenue, Tropicana Heights, and Tropicana Metropark. The items collected included fabric-based (clothes, shoes, bags, and even soft toys) materials, paper, plastic, computer parts, metal as well as electrical and electronic products. Exciting giveaways such as iCycle Carbon Vouchers, shopping vouchers, and cash rewards were introduced to encourage residents to be part of this recycling programme. Since its launch in December 2019, more than 1,300kg of waste has been collected for recycling.

Community

Our efforts often go towards helping charitable homes for orphans, old folks and those with special needs. The needs of these members of the community are varied and specific but we work together with their homes in our philanthropic initiatives, from health and wellness to small-scale annual events to help bring some joy, fulfil their daily necessities and improve their quality of life whenever we can.

The Tropicana Group via the Foundation has donated to a variety of organisations, with our biggest contributions over the past year going towards medical equipment in light of current events. Tropicana’s corporate responsibility and sustainability is held in compliance with our guidelines to assist wherever we can. We strive to put people first, whether they are our customers, staff, shareholders or recipients of our charitable initiatives.
