The Sun - Tropicana Spreads Festive to Rumah Charis
TROPICANA FOUNDATION, the charity arm of Tropicana Corporation Berhad, has extended a helping hand to Rumah Charis Shah Alam, Taman Sri Muda. More than 200 packs of dry goods and essentials were delivered to the home for the elderly ahead of the Chinese New Year festive season.
The philanthropic initiative was undertaken in line with the Tropicana Foundation's aim to improve the lives of Malaysians in need while addressing impacts from social and environmental issues.
Tropicana group executive director Jared Ethan Ang said: "Our visit to Rumah Charis underscores the Tropicana commitment to uplifting the underprivileged. With recent flood events, we hope that we can help spread cheer when needed most, as we redefine the art of caring in all we do."
The Tropicana Foundation saw the distribution of essentials such as medical masks as well as dry goods from cooking oil, rice, and canned goods to milk powder to Rumah Charis.
As part of its mission, Tropicana has contributed over RM4.5 million to charitable causes in 2021, from food bank, health and education programmes to recycling efforts.
Continuing its commitment to improving the lives of those in need, the Tropicana Foundation will donate more than RM13,000 worth of essentials to Ti-Ratana Welfare Society Malaysia this coming Chinese New Year. Bringing smiles to underprivileged children, the items include treats and chocolates, as well as necessities such as toothpaste and toothbrushes.
To be held on Feb 12, this initiative coincides with two days of exciting activities and festive treats at the Tropicana Aman Property Gallery, Bandar Tropicana Aman in celebration of the festive season.
