TROPICANA DONATES RM1.5 MILLION TO ST JOSEPH INSTITUTE INTERNATIONAL IB SCHOLARSHIP
Held at the Tropicana Golf & Country Club, the SJII IB Scholarship Launch received two generous donations of RM1.5 million respectively from the Tropicana Foundation – a charity organisation formed by Tropicana and the Lasallian Asian Partnerships for International Schools (LAPIS), meaning that the SJII IB Scholarship would have a total fund of RM3 million in its founding year. Speaking at the event, YBhg Tan Sri Dato’ Danny Tan, Founder & Advisor of Tropicana said that Tropicana has always been working in sync with the pulse of the local communities and Tropicana home owners. “Building a school with SJII Malaysia is a sign of our commitment in not just creating harmonious partnerships for the benefit of our customers, but ultimately to also create an ideal and vibrant township that is strategic and holistic in nature. We have always believed in the importance of reaching out and ensuring that quality education is provided to everyone. With our contributions, the scholarships will go towards helping students to increase their knowledge and enrich their educational experience, thus giving these young minds the opportunity to excel further. Going forward, Tropicana plans to build a school in each of its townships.”
