New Straits Times - Tropicana Gardens Mall Hosting ‘WORLD OF DC EXHIBITION"

 Comics fans can now meet their favourite superheroes and supervillains at “The World of DC Exhibition” being held at Tropicana Gardens Mall in Petaling Jaya.

The exhibition, its first in Asia, is brought to Malaysia by Warner Bros Discovery Global Themed Entertainment and Beast Kingdom, and organised by WOW Event Asia Sdn Bhd.

It runs from now until April 1 next year.

It features movie props, concept art, costumes, life-size exhibits and interactive elements, along with exclusive merchandise celebrating iconic DC superheroes such as Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman and Aquaman, as well as supervillains such as the Joker, Harley Quinn and El Diablo.

The event was officiated by Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Amirudin Shari, Beast Kingdom Southeast Asia general manager Yee Shiuh Lam, Tropicana Group managing director Dion Tan, WOW Event Asia directors Mary Koh and Wong Jyb Sheng, and Tropicana Gardens Mall managing director Andrew Ashvin.

Also present was Warner Bros Discovery consumer products, advertising and partnership head Vikram Sharma.

With the reopening of borders, we are seeing an increasing number of exciting events in Selangor,” said Amirudin.

He added that events such as The World of DC Exhibition could attract more tourists as well as boost economic growth as well as encourage retail expansion and community engagement.

“We hope to see domestic and international tourist arrivals continue to rise as a pillar of the state's economy,” he said.

The exhibition features seven zones focusing on specific characters and themes, ranging from the “Dawn of Justice” featuring Superman and Batman, to the “Rise of Super Villains” highlighting the Birds of Prey and the Suicide Squad.

Also on display are Superman's suit. Batman's Batmobile, Knight Crawler and Bat-Signal, as well as Wonder Woman's costume.

Visitors can experience the excitement of “wielding superpowers" through interactive showcases, such as Wonder Woman's Training Field and Aquaman's Aquarium.

An array of Instagram hotspots are available where visitors can take pictures at the Suicide Squad's Graffiti Wall and pose for photographs with Wonder Woman's Lasso of Truth, and El Diablo.
