Sin Chew Daily - Tropicana Corporation CEO retires at the end of the year

Property developer Tropicana Corp. Bhd. announced the retirement of its Group Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Datuk Yau Kok Seng, by end of this year. Datuk Yau has held the position since January 2013.

Previously Tropicana’s Board of Directors aware of his retirement and due to health reasons, Datuk Yau’s retirement date has bring forward to 30 November. The Group will continue to conduct a comprehensive search for his replacement.

During his time as CEO, Datuk Yau receives acknowledgement from Tropicana Chairman Tan Sri Othman Abdul Razak and on behalf of the Board of Directors, he would like to thank Datuk Yau’s contributions to the group.

Datuk Yau’s leadership and knowledge of the business have proved valuable to the Group, and the group wishes him well. The Board is satisfied that all major projects and initiatives are in good hands and are proceeding as planned.

Datuk Yau is a chartered accountant and has more than 30 years of experience in auditing, corporate finance and general management. Prior to joining Tropicana, he was the managing director of Sunway Holdings Bhd.
