TROPICANA Foundation, the chanty arm of Tropicana Corporation Berhad ("Tropicana"), gave back to the Johor community through fitness, family and festivity. This included a RM500.000 sponsorship for the Johor Rugby Union towards furthering the development of sports activities, as well as a donation drive benefiting civil servants, homes in need and charitable organisations such as Yayasan Sultan Ibrahim and Rumah Anak Yatim Syafar across Tropicana's southern developments ("Tropicana Southern").

Karen Lee, Tropicana's Managing Director of Southern, shared more on the developer's charitable efforts "As a township developer, Tropicana believes in building a wholesome community as well as giving back to the people. This year, we want to continue to give back to the ) Johor community, taking part in a charitable sponsorship and donation drive centred on fitness, family and festivity. This included support for the Johor Rugby Union, in appreciation of its role in bringing people together in the spirit of sportsmanship.

"We also channeled aid to families in need as well as civil workers, distributing care packs and festive bubur lambuk packets to hospital workers, fire & rescue personnel, and police staff We did this by working with partners such as Majlis Perbandaran Pontian and Yayasan Sultan Ibrahim Johor as well as our subsidiaries in the Johor region, in line with our aim to constantly engage with the community and our core goal of Redefining the Art of Caring in all we do," she said.

The donation to the Johor Rugby Union supports the company's emphasis on healthy lifestyles, embodied in its Tropicana go-go-FIT campaign ongoing until end-2022 This campaign emphasizes physical and virtual fitness activities across its townships and developments.

Five Tropicana developments, namely Tropicana Uplands, Tropicana Sanctuary, Tropicana Alma, Tropicana Industrial Park and Lido Waterfront Boulevard, donated RM100,000 each towards the union's annual programme and the preparation of athletes for tournaments at the national level.

Tropicana's charitable efforts also included a festive Bubur Lambuk Giveaway, which saw Tropicana staff producing 500 packs of the savoury treat, as well as a donation drive campaign in partnership with Majlis Perbandaran Pontian In total, 100 care packs were distributed, including essentials goods and necessities, along with 200 packs of clothing.

Recipients included Yayasan Sultan Ibrahim, Majlis Perbandaran Pontian; Rumah Anak Yatim Syafar, Johor Baru; Hospital Sultanah Aminah, johor Baru; Balai Bomba dan Penyelamat, Iskandar Puteri; Ibu Pejabat Polis Daerah Iskandar Puten, and Balai Polis Celang Petah. as well as homes in need within the Tropicana Danga Cove community.
